50th Commencement Ceremony Monday, June 18, 7 p.m.

The 50th annual Linn-Benton Community College Commencement ceremony will be held Monday, June 18 at 7 p.m. at the Linn County Fair and Expo Willamette Event Center, Albany.

Graduates should plan to arrive no later than 5:45 p.m. at the Santiam Building behind the Willamette Event Center. Doors open for seating at 6 p.m.

No tickets needed to attend. No strollers or backpacks. Carry bags will be checked.

A traditional bagpipe processional will be lead by the Portland Metro Pipe Band, with posting of the colors by the American Legion Travis Moothart Post 184 of Brownsville.

LBCC President Dr. Greg Hamann will give the welcome and present several awards including Phi Theta Kappa and Distinguished Alumni awards. LBCC student body president will give the student address.

A reception with refreshments is planned for graduates, family and friends in the Santiam Building behind the Willamette Event Center immediately following commencement.

Spring Choral Concert “Mozart Requiem” June 8, 7:30 p.m.

Choral concert “Mozart Requiem” will be held Firday, June 8 at 7:30 p.m. at Linn-Benton Community College’s Russell Tripp Performance Center, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany.

LBCC award winning choirs will perform in conjunction with an orchestra and soloist, conducted by LBCC Choral Studies Director Raymund Ocampo.

In addition, LBCC a cappella ensembles Sirens and Blue Light Special will perform works by Beyonce, Bruno Mars and more.

Tickets are $10 general admission, $7 for students, seniors and veterans. Concert is free for students with ID and children under 18. Purchase online at or at the theater box office one hour prior to performance.
