Father, Daughter Graduating with Mechatronics Degrees

Craig Munsee had just been laid off as an electrical engineer from HP. His oldest daughter, Rebecca, was graduating from Philomath High School and considering her next steps.

Both of them decided to enroll at Linn-Benton Community College — and now both will graduate Monday, June 18 with associate's degrees in the Mechatronics/Industrial Automation Technology program.

Jerod Gibson named as Head Women’s Basketball Coach

The Linn-Benton Community College Athletic Department announced the hiring of Jerod Gibson as the new head coach of the LBCC women’s basketball program. 

Gibson is a Corvallis native and Corvallis High graduate of ’97, and a LBCC alum. 

“I have fond memories of my time as a student here at LBCC and having the opportunity to return home and lead the women’s basketball program is exciting for me and my family,” said Gibson. “I would like to thank the search committee, especially Leslie Hammond, dean of Student Engagement and Randy Falk, Athletics director, for the opportunity to be part of the continued success of the Roadrunner Athletics department.”

Coach Gibson comes from Pacific University, where he spent the last five years with the men’s program, most recently as the interim head men’s basketball coach this past season.
